Brickhaus is getting ready to break ground on its newest development, One Seventeen, located on the southeast corner of Lake and W. 117th. Brickhaus Partners’ Andrew Brickman, Developer, and Alexandra Yonkov, Principal, won the project in 2013, after vying against several other developers. Their proposal, created in partnership with Dimit Architects, honors the site’s historic church, Fifth Church of Christ, which was beyond saving and had to be demolished. The Brickhaus design allows the neighborhood to continue its connection with the iconic structure.
One Seventeen will be comprised of 11 modern brownstones with classic elements such as arched windows, balconies and French doors. The design was intended to be a harmonious addition to the lovely and gracious Edgewater Park neighborhood. The 3-story townhomes will have approximately 1,850 square feet, not including rooftop decks. Each unit will have an attached two-car garage, access to which will not be visible from the street. The development is slated for completion by the end of 2018. Prices start at $439,900. Brickhaus already has 4 reservations for the townhomes, with only 7 remaining.
